Ryan Hurst

Actor, writer, director and acting teacher, Ryan Hurst trained at Rose Bruford College. His acting credits include work with Chichester Festival Theatre, Riverside Studios, The Albany and Jermyn Street Theatre. Television credits include: the international award-winning Londynczycy (TVP), Emmerdale (YTV), Brookside (Ch4), Casualty (BBC), City Central (BBC). Voice credits include BAFTA award-winning Privates (Ch4).

Alongside his acting, Ryan has worked regularly as a teacher and facilitator for over 20 years, specialising in work with young people. This includes positions with numerous schools, colleges and universities in both the UK and internationally, and The National Youth Theatre (NYT).

Ryan has directed young performers in performances at The National Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, The Bush, Soho Theatre and Reading  Rep.

Over many of these years, Ryan has supported the audition process for hundreds of young people. Students tutored by Ryan have received places at actor training institutions such as RADA, LAMDA, Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, Guildhall, Rose Bruford, Arts Ed, Italia Conti, Mountview, East 15, LIPA, PPA, LMA, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.

Coming from a theatrical dynasty, Tilly Gaunt trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School,  and has been working for over twenty years in theatre, television and radio since.  She has had the opportunity to play some incredible roles, mainly leads in theatre - these include Nora in The Dolls House directed by Erica Whyman and leads in Translations, Blue Remembered Hills, Noises off in the West End, Ruby Moon, The Real Thing etc…. at the National Theatre, Northern Stage, Royal Festival Hall, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Ambassador Theatre Group, Curve Leicester, The Finborough, Arcola and in the Piccadilly Theatre in the West End.  She has also done numerous international productions with Strinbergs Intima Theatre in Stockholm.

Television credits include: The End of the F**king World (Ch4), Moonmonkeys (BBC3), People Like Us (BBC), The Knock (LWT), The Southbank Show with Ken Russell (LWT), The Bill and an amazing 4 characters for Holby City (BBC). She’s been in numerous commercials, and a music video for The Editors directed by Ben Wheatley.

Tilly was the recipient of the Carlton Hobbs Radio Drama Award and has since recorded over 100 productions for BBC Radio 4.

Tilly and Ryan met as members of the National Youth Theatre in 1993.
